Relatively Easy Webbot Question - 6/5/2007 14:58:19
Ok, I have a stupid issue that I just can't seem to resolve. I have a website with several asp pages that has been housed on a outsourced webhost for some time. Now that we have our own inhouse server, we wish to use it instead. Run of the mill..

So IIS and all is set. The webpages are copied down to their new home. Everything works fine except a few pages with webbot's in them refuse to display.

All the other asp pages work. Even the pages that directly interact with the database itself work. Just anything with a webbot is failing (but they all worked before on the other server).

I'm assuming I'm missing a setting or something somewhere on the server set up. ANY IDEAS?? All help is appreciated.

For a webbot to work, frontpage extensions must be installed on the server

Hi and Welcome to OutFront.

IIRC WIndows 2003 Server and IIS 6 (assuming a new install) doesn't have ASP or FP Extensions installed and setup by default. You have to enable those manually at the server console or via Remote Desktop.

Are both of those enabled?

EDIT:(typing to sloooow....):)
