Slide Image in from Right - 12/2/2001 14:51:00
HiI saw once a javascript that loaded an image from the right and then it stayed in the middle of the page. Now I cannot find the code anywhere. Does anybody have one or know where I can get it? Its only one image I want to slide in to the page and let it stay there. Carlo

I've done this in the past, just by using DHTML in Frontpage. (FORMAT > Dynamic HTML Effects) Put up a two-cell table, and create the effect in the right-hand cell. The effect will apply to any image placed in that cell. I've never seen any reference to this in the forum that I can recall, so maybe the gurus will say that its a bad idea. I don't know.

That's exactly how to do it Sarge - at least the easy way. I can't say I'm fond of the idea, but I had a client once who just insisted I do one image that way. I know not all the DHTML effect within FP work in Netscape, but I think this is one that does. Nancy Wrinkled is NOT one of the things I wanted to be when I grew up! Need FrontPage and Dreamweaver Templates?

I am trying to do something similar to this. I want to have a gif image come in from the right and scroll to the left. I used the Page Load DHTML affect of Fly In and it worked just fine. My problem is that the image moves too quickly that you barely notice it. Is there anyway to set the speed of the Fly In or is there a better way to do this?

Swish makes that effect very easy to do. And to put swish into your site is pretty easy too. Its just dynamic html to insert the html and then incert swf file into direstory. Later Killfst...

Maccdoc, You change the settings in the animate.js file. I can't remember how but FP help will tell you. Since MS Money wiped out my HTML help I can't get to it on my box. Paula So much to learn...... Edited by - PBailey on 06/03/2002 12:22:07
