Guest -> updated published page does not change (9/29/2001 16:39:00)

Can anyone tell me why my recently updated web page uploads to my server but when I check it, it has not changed. I have tried numerous things including refresh page etc but it just refuses to upload the newly updated page. Grrrrr it's driving me nuts,

Can you get to the server, and delete the page in question, then try to publish your new page?

Are you going through the "Publish" feature to upload? If that's what you're doing, your extensions may be corrupt.

Suggestion: ALWAYS, ALWAYS do your editing live off the server. That way, when you're working, you hit "Ctrl-S" and publishing to the server is automatic, and you can do it several times during your session to guard agianst system crashes.

Check with your ISP. My ISP recently initiated a new way of "helping" their clients. The pages that are viewed frequently are saved on their server and are refreshed at their will. For people like you and I who make pages we are working on frequently viewed pages, this creates a huge problem. You may be seeing a version of the page that your ISP has saved on the server to make it readily available. My ISP usually refreshes these pages every 3-4 hours. I would call your ISP and ask them.

How are you putting the page on the server? FTP can be misleading. I agree with the "live" editing post above. It can be a hassle to get everything configured properly, but once it is, its smooth sailin from there...
