swoosh -> Getting Database field label back (6/11/2007 7:46:07)

Hello all,

We have a database detail page with mostly all fields from the database on the page describing a particular record. However, we accidently deleted a field label from the page. When we go to configure the data source it is still selected, now I know we can simply do it all over but we have it formatted to how we want.

Is there any way to get that field back without having to go through the entire process again and keep the formatting that we have?

Any help much appreciated

No help on this yet 'eh?[:(]

This may help if it's posting to an ASP page. Using this script, you can grab a list of all the fieldnames that are posted from a form:

<%
For Each Item In Request.Form
fieldName = Item
fieldValue = Request.Form(Item)
'...do something with fieldName and fieldValue...
Response.write(fieldName & ":" & fieldValue & "<br>")
Next
%>

This will give you a quick list of all the fields being POSTed to that page and their values. Remember this needs to go onto the page being POSTed to and not necessarily the page the form is on.

You should be able to then copy and paste a list to sort by fieldname.

Might save you some work. Hope it helps.
