What I'd do if you're set on using popups (and they're generally best avoided except in specific circumstances) then you want to use Javascript to activate the things and control size etc. The clever thing is that if you do it properly it will mean that if people have popups blocked they won't just get nothing - they'll get a "normal" link so they won't miss out on the content. It's long-winded though, I'll warn you now!!
