Nicole -> You can't have everything . . . (6/20/2007 4:14:58)

. . . I've moved into a beautiful little farm house, I love it here, everything so far is great except that I had to go 6 days without a phone connection and thus no internet. The problem has been "fixed" this afternoon, I now have a phone that works and dial-up internet that varies between 24 - 46 kbps, but it drops out so often it's almost not worth using. I have a Broadband connection on order, they had tried to connect me while the line fault was still faulty but I've called them this afternoon and had my order reinstated, but I'm concerned. Very concerned. I know wireless Broadband may have to be an option, but I'm wondering whether adsl will really be available, but I'm concerned because the phone line is sooo crackly. My ISP assures me that this doesn't matter as that only affects dial-up connections, that Broadband is different, but does anyone here know, or can reassure me as to whether the current static I get when making an ordinary phone call will affect my chances of getting adsl?
