Hi everyone,
I hope that some of you may be able to help me with what is probably an easy operation, but I am unsure how to accomplish it. I have a multiple page document that I wish to scan into photoshop and then save all of the pages as a single PDF file. At present, I only have the know-how to save each scanned page as a seperate file... very cumbersome.

What are you using to make the PDF?

If you have Acrobat - open the first page then use the Document>Insert Pages to add more .

I would download a free program called Promo pdf Then insert the scanned images of the pages into MS Word or excel or virtually any application that uses a printer, then print the document to a pdf file.

In my experience this is faster, easier and more accurate than making pdfs from Photoshop.

Just bought/installed Scansoft's PDF Converter Professional 4.1 which does everything Adobe 8 does. Very happy with it at half the price of Adobe but still $100 more than other free (lite) programs.

Larry, I saw this on their web site: "instantly convert static PDF forms into fill-able PDF forms."

Do you know if this is the same as adobe pdf that allows you to use fillable pdf forms on your web site so the user can print the finished form and then submit it?

A qualified "yes" to your question.

I didn't know Abode could do this but I have seen it in operation on, of all places, a government (IRS, I think) site.

As to the qualified "yes", here's what PDF Professional help says:

To distribute the unfilled active PDF form you have created

~ Save the PDF form.
~ Use another application to link its fields to a database if desired.
~ Post the form to a website or distribute it by e-mail.

PDF Professional has only limited ability to edit text in native PDF formats because of their topogaphic (image based) makeup. However, PDF Professional has a "Converter Assistant" which moves the PDF layers to Word, Excel & RTF for editing. Thereafter the document can be (re)converted to PDF format.

I need time to fiddle with this before I can sound even semi-articulate [8D]
