Dumb question: Proper way to creat a default.aspx page - 6/25/2007 17:12:28
I'm experiencing extremely odd issues with my default.aspx page.

Can somebody please help me understand one simple thing:

What is the correct way to create a default.aspx page from a master page?

I only ask because I can't believe EW is working correctly and/or may be a bug. When I create a new page from the master page file, and 'save as' default.apsx, there is only one line of code "<%@ Page masterpagefile="index.master" language="C#" title="Home Page" %>" even though the page duplicates all from the index.master successfully in the design view.

All other pages on my site created this same way are fine - full code is showing in the split and code view screens.

This is the reason my site will not publish successfully to the web....the default.aspx page is not be correctly created by EW.

Thanks,

MIP

Thanks,

MIP
