FrontPage discussion board & Folder file limits - 6/27/2007 15:34:43
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have been using a FrontPage Discussion board for several years. I recently have been having a problem with our host telling us that that folders can only hold 1000 files and then the disc files reset to 00000000. This cause the board to go haywire and I have to go in and clean it off and restart it.
We do NOT want to go to another tyoe of board, we do not want people to have to login to make comments. It there another way to set up the _disc file as to not have it reset.
Thanks
Jodie

I remember using the FP disc'n board. Arrrrrgh. Frustrating. I think I remember having to delete old posts on a regular basis so I wouldn't run into the max.

I've been using http://EZBoard.com now for years and am very happy with it. Like most 3rd party boards, there is a choice to make logging in optional or mandatory. Try setting one up. Most are free (or have a small fee to have no ads.)

I do go in every couple of days and cut the discussion in half. I was just hoping there would be some sort of a work around.
Thanks
Jodie
