problem with table... - 7/26/2007 19:43:25
I'm creating a web page in which the content goes in a table centered in the page the only problem, I haven't been able to center the table in the middle of the page......by the way, is this a good way to divide your page in sections?

thanks in advance

Table>>Insert Table>>Alignment>>Center

With the table in place, right click >>Table Properties>>change Rows & Columns as needed.

<div align="center">
<table>
whatever content, blahblah
</table>
</div>

That will center evrything in this table to the middle of the screen.

This all depends what you want to divide and do with the page. IMHO no, the better way is to use CSS.

A simple copy and past will do. BUT, the same you can do with a simple style sheet (css) linked to every page. Imagine you will have 10, 20 or more pages in the long run and you want to change the background color. With the style sheet you only do it once. with the "copy and pate" methode you need to do it 10, 20 or more time for the rest of the page. And believe me, once you start a website the page numbers will grow .... :)
