Access to SQL Enterprize Guide - 8/6/2007 23:30:50
Hi,

I have upgraded from Access to SQL Enterprize 2005

I want to change the database connection from MsAccess to SQL Server 2005!

How do I actually do that, as SQL 2005 is not an available database from the option list, the same is true also in Expressions which I have also.

Does this mean that I have to use ODBC?

love
Helen

When you say the connection is not available? using what?
You would just use a normal SQL server connection string
One example being :

sDSN = "Provider=sqloledb;Data Source=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx,1433;Network Library=DBMSSOCN;Initial Catalog=[DatbaseName];User Id=********;Password=********;"

Please forgive my ignorance

I was setting the values in Frontpage and also Expression with the Site Settings option from the menu where you stipulate and verify the database for the project.

Where would I put this sDSN string or in what file?
