1.2.3.4.5.6 - 8/16/2007 3:10:45
All of a sudden, there's a delay when I'm previewing web pages and in the lower left corner the numbers 1.2.3.4.5.6 flash before the page loads.
This has never happened before for me in FP2002. Anyone know why?

Thank you!!!

FP Preview is meaningless - use >File >>Preview in Browser.

The litmus test, assuming you are referring to http://www.actsco.org/ , does not produce the 1.2.3.4.5.6 result in XP Pro/IE7.

Yeah I've never seen it before.
It just started. It also happens during Preview in Web
Browser.
This is only happening to the new/revised version of the site which I am still working on off my hard drive.
It is not occuring on the current version that is posted.
Hoping it doesn't happen when the site goes live.
Anyone know why it's doing that?

Thanks again.

Don't think it is FP. My guess: memory or lack of it.

Thanks Larry.

To be sure, I took the web off my hard drive and opened it on my laptop and the same thing is occuring.

The numbers flash in succession (like it's counting up) in the lower left corner and what previously took a milisecond to load in preview mode (browser or not) now takes 6 seconds with the "countdown".

The page is not that large. It hasn't really changed a whole lot.

Other pages do it too, but for a shorter duration... like up to the number 2.

What the heck is this?

You out there Thom? Any ideas?

Well, for one... can't you just post a link to the page you are talking about? It doesn't help us, to help you, looking at a page which does work......

And what the heck is that 1 pixel x 1 pixel doing in your html? At least you should make it black as your background is.

Thanks for the action guys.

OK. I will check for a virus/trojan with Webroot.
It would have to be in the web files though since it is doing the same thing on two separate hard drives.

I would love to post it... but I can't until Monday when the new info is to be published. It's a timing issue for the company site I'm working on.

However, I will see if I can somehow put the pages temporarily on my personal site.

Jurgen, not sure what you meant by 1 pixel by 1 pixel???

I cut a snippet of the code that pops up in between the numbers:

I got it in my third try using "print screen"... not bad... it moves so fast.

Alright the site is up.
When you come into the home page, or navigate over to any of the other pages, particularly the pages from the FAS Cruise dropdown, you will see the numbers popping up on the bottom left of the screen as the page loads. Never ever saw that before and it bothering the heck out of me.

Maybe someone knows what that is and how to fix it.

Thanks again for your input.

Nope, don't see 'em. XP Pro/IE7.

Tip: you should stick with with the same colors/background throughout the site. V. distracting otherwise :)

Thanks Larry.
This is just baffling me.
Wonder why I'm seeing it and you aren't.

On my end it only shows up when I am checking with IE6. All the other browser are not showing it. You have quiet a few flash peices in your pages. I assume the are pretty big and take at lot of time to load. Even with DSL. What you are seeing is the count of how many images will be loaded in the perticular page. Nothing wrong with that. It just takes forever for everything to load.

I would sugest revisiting the pages and reducing the page loads.
