Help for hotspot hyperlinks - 8/28/2007 15:17:48
Hello! I have searched this site for the help I need, but haven't found it yet. I am looking to have my hyperlinks on this graphic on the home page highlight and/or have text appear on mouseover. Do you know how I can do it within Frontpage or with some kind of javascript?

i'll let someones else answer the above but you should optimise your main image more as it is quite big
try this instead (it's still quite large at 91kbut still acceptable quality: note - it's a jpeg not a gif)

You don't mean to reduce the size in height and width -- you mean reduce the pixels?

no: i mean compress it more; and it also saves better as a jpeg than a gif as it has too many transitions in colour for the gif format ;)
the pixels stay the same on screen - you can't 'reduce' them

you can use the title attribute on the link
<a href="link.htm" title="this is the text that displays in the 'tooltip' when you hover over the link"> ...
or for a fancier one

Scroll down or hit F11 - the BoxOver instructions are "below the fold".

when you make the link you can add the title attribute afterwards
