Moving FP 2003 Sites, 1 ok, 2 tanked, help - 8/31/2007 12:54:46
Hello OF,

I was so glad to find this forum!
I am technical by trade, but not familiar with Frontpage.

recently acquired 2 older Frontpage 2003 web sites, www.finefishing.com and www.finetravel.com

There are two short-term goals that I desparately need help on.

1. The sites need to be moved to a new Host ASAP. I have attempted to do this using ftp (I did not know this was a cardinal sin). One site www.finetravel.com seems to be up and running fine. But the other got so meesed up that I had to fall back to the old host.

Would anyone be willing to help get the second site moved successfully? Of course, I will pay a fair price for your service.

Note the new host is Linux (HostGator), cpanel, FPX, etc..

2. As you will notice, the sites are very 1990's looking and in need of an upgrade.

I wonder if a new template(s) could be applied to the current sites to give them a facelift. And could you suggest some ideas and possible costs involved in doing this?

I do hope that I have hit the right forum and topic for this post.

Thank You
coreybryant

What is the problem you are having with the new site? Do you have the sites locally (and did you publish with Frontpage Publishing From Remote Server to Local Computer?)

You might check out Open Designs for some layouts.
