Front Page File Upload File Name Conflicts - 9/4/2007 15:28:07
Hi All, I have a website www.thecvengineer.co.uk where clients upload their CV (Resume) for a free review (and hopefully a paid for review later ). I have a problem in that many people call their CV mycv.doc or cv.doc or johncv.doc. I can't allow duplicate overwrites in the folder that receives the uploads because someone's cv might be overwritten.
Ideally i would like to find a way to modify the CV filename by adding the current date/timme to the file name on upload.
Any ideas how this might be done. Or other work arounds for the problem.
Any help is much appreciated.

You can allow overwrites - but this would cause you to lose the previous upload
Otherwise, you would need to consider using a server side language to help you out
