Adding music background to a webpage - 6/22/2001 16:50:00
How do I add a music file as a background sound for my web page. I right clicked on the page, went to page properties and browsed so that I could find the file on my hard drive. It seems that it is there when I preview in Frontpage 2000 but some of my viewers can't hear it. Do I need to save it to the page somehow? Thanks!

Jred: I went through this same issue recently. I ended up putting a link on my page so that visitors had the option of listening to my music. Some visitors don't like having music always playing (me included). Here's what I did... http://davidsplace2.tripod.com/new_page_3.htmDP Rookie

Don't *rely* on preview It's remarkably good but it *is* just a preview - test it live using whatever version of internet explorer and a few other browsers as well.------------------ Hope this helps :-) Gorilla aka Mark Saunders http://www.computerdriving.com Email Address: marksaunders@techie.com ======= "Gotcha!" You can embed the file in the document and set it to automatically play on page load, but also have a control console to be able to turn the music off and on.
