Outlook express + Oracle database - 9/14/2007 16:45:14
All-- I have a quick question. Outlook has the ability to do certain things, such as flag an email, based on various criteria... ie if it has asdf in the subject flag the message orange and move it to the asdf folder. Does anyone know is there a plugin that allows it to query a database (an oracle database specifically) and use the results of that query to do the appropriate action? IE: mesage comes in with asdf in the subject. Query the database for asdf, if there is an entry in the database flag the message and move it to the asdf folder. Otherwise deliver as normal. I doubt this is possible, but it would certainly solve a problem or two if it were... thanks (as always) for entertaining my random questions! Andrew <edit> this database also has a web-based API, so if not possible to query the database specifically, how about query the API, which in turn queries the database?
