IncrediMail - It will not go away! - 9/18/2007 8:31:47
As many may already know, this is some type of Email option offered with Yahoo. I do not know how this process started, but I assume my daughter initiated it. Now I cannot get it to stop Our home computer is bombarded with IncrediMail Icons in an attempt to install itself on our machine. As soon as I boot up my computer a box is brought up which, when I cancel, another box informs me that an IncrediMail icon will be placed on my Desktop for me to install later. I do not want IncrediMail now or ever and it is extremely annoying to have to delete the Icon constantly every time I start up my computer. Plus, I am very suspicious of a program that forces itself on you and does not give you an option to opt out - permanently. This seems malicious to say the least. Are there any steps I can take to prevent this happening in the future? I have written a complaint to IncrediMail, but I doubt I will get a positive response, or a response at all. Maybe I can do a system restore that takes me back to a point prior to this issue. Any help or suggestions would greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ed
