Looking for feedback... SolidVision - 9/23/2007 20:45:06
Ok I built this site for this company SolidVision which is a SolidWorks (cad software reseller).

I am hoping that folks could provide me with some feedback. If you end up looking into the page template "CSS" layout please let me know what I could do to improve things.

Thanks

Getting about 5 inches of horizontal scrolling on a 800 res monitor. Large gray blank area on the right after scrolling.

At least in FF.

There's a fair few coding errors on there - one of the most possibly dangerous is the re-use of ids on the same page.

You seem to have different stylesheets for the header and footer - that's not necessary, I'd just stick them all in the same one.

The Upcoming seminar box is overflowing in Firefox, Opera and IE7. The "More" link is lost beneath the image under it in Firefox. I'm not even going to try to find it in all those stylesheets but my guess is that you've given it a set height - this is a bad idea generally because you get text overflowing, particularly if users start increasing the font size in their browsers - you need to allow the page to grow in length.

Igh, some of the content looks out of place. Particularly the upcoming seminars section goes outside it's bourndaries in FF. A lot of the other content on the homepage also looks a little bit messy in terms of alignment points. Apart from that looks quite alright =).

I like the horizontal menu.
The Products menu item should carry further submenu, though.

In Services, you lost control over user preferred Text and don't make the site look good.
