Layer Positions in IE vs FireFox - 9/23/2007 20:53:15
I'm putting together a web site at www.chuckconrad.com
So far, it's looking the way I want it to when viewed in FireFox. But, even in the new versions of IE, the layers of my home page are sliding all the way to the left. I've played around with some of the advice in this forum, but haven't be able to correct it.

Thanks to those who had a look. I was able to fix it by selecting 'center' for 'alignment' in the Tag Properties.

I haven't looked at your code but you should remove this:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
It will throw IE into quirks mode and make building your site harder.

Tailslide is correct. I had that on our homepage - drove me crazy for a few months. I had a number of boards look at it because the same source code was used (all includes) but on the home page, the menu would lag on Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Took that one line out and now my business partner thinks I am a genius. (No, I never told him I put that line in, but that's what I get for copying from the DOCTYPE page
