no image on web - 9/26/2007 18:54:30
I'm VERY new at this...here's the situation. I inserted an image in a table, it looks good, I check it out on the preview button and it shows up. BUT when I go to the actual web, there is an x in place of the image. This is puzzling because when I orginally uploaded to the remote site and checked everything out, it was there. Then I did some futzing around on manage site and now this. The curious thing is that all other images on the page are there. This image is missing on all my pages. I even deleted it and started over by inserting it again. The code looks like this img src="images/pic" . Help please!

I don't use DW but should the image have an extension such as "images/pic.gif" or .jpeg or .png?

I think this is just a "path" problem where you have a wrong location for your image. Can you post the URL for the missing picture?

The requested URL /images/pic.gif was not found on this server. It does not appear to be on your site at all. I also checked all your pages for broken images with the Firefox Web Developer tool and there were no broken images. Jurgen is probably right in that it is a naming/path problem.
