win xp <-> Apache Web Server - 9/29/2007 2:00:08
My laptop is XP may install latest Apache Web Server ? If yes, what benefits I will have after install ? May access my laptop from another PC from the internet ? what else mainly ?

The Apache web server can be used to test any server side dependent sites locally without the need for an internet connection. All the documentation on how to do it etc. is on their website, and there are various other packages available that come bundled with MySQL and PHP. Google's quite handy to find such things.
While you could in theory host your website on your laptop it wouldn't be ideal - there are a load of security and bandwidth issues, and many ISPs don't allow this anyway.
