Trial version won't open a web page - 9/30/2007 5:37:56
I just downloaded the trial version of Expressions (what an ordeal) and I opened a web that's stored on my HDD and whereas with FP2003 I would simply click on a file, say name.htm, and it would open in page view for me to edit. I've tried this same procedure and nothing appears to happen with Expressions. What am I doing wrong? When I installed it it asked for the temp product key. It also asked for another password which I don't have so I pressed continue. Then when I opened Expressions it again asked for the product key and the same code thingy and asked if I wanted to activate it. I clicked yes and got, "activation down for maintenance." Very frustrating, given that I spent the day trying to install FP2000 and it kept hanging. I feel as though I'm being forced into buying (upgrading to) Expressions and it doesn't feel good. Suggestions please, Thanks Kerry Vista Ultimate

You mentioned 2 issues: 1. Making the trial EW work smoothly. 2. Editing you FP website in EW. 1>. Any trial software will always ask for activation anytime you launch it. Just click CONTINUE. To edit your FP website in EW, just open it in EW as you would in FT. This is File/Open Site. I hope this is helpful Kerry. Obi
