picture not showing up - 10/5/2007 17:34:19
Im using DW MX 2K4. I have a picture that is not showing up when I preview in browser, but it shows up in the design window. Im gettin the RED X inside IE.

check your links (in the Files panel where you see all your site files right click on the problem page and choose Check links > selected files, when the image file comes up as broken browse to the correct path

I just did that and the one picture that i speak of isnt broken.

I don't use DW so I could be way off here - but does it work when uploaded to the website? If so then I think it's because you're using this syntax /graphix/hnhBanner.jpg with the "/" at the start of the path. I use this too which works fine on the web itself but won't work when you try to view the image locally.

Try putting in the entire URL for the image in your img src string. When setting up a site, DreamWeaver likes images to be in an "image" folder. Could be set as a default. From the toolbar you can go to Site, then Manage Sites. select the one you want to manage and select "edit" to see the folder that DreamWeaver is looking for images.
