Opening a singe website - 10/10/2007 14:11:10
Just starting with Expresion - have many FP websites, when I open a website in EW, it opens all websites in "My Web Sites" folder. I want to open only one website. The only way I figured out to get around is move one website to another folder, then open.

Thanks in advance,

dan

If you go into My Computer, do these "websites" have a globe on them - sort of like this?

It's been awhile since I looked at the meta data, but it could be that. Have you tried to go into Frontpage and did Tools - Recalculate Hyperlinks and then open in Expression Web? Frontpage Cleaner might help some as well

I need to clarify - the main root folder, containing all my FP websites, has the globe, which I thought was strange, but since the folder appeared to be a default folder for Vista, I assumed it was the place to put my websites,

All FP websites have a globe as well, it is the root folder that has a globe, and must be causing EX to load all FP webs at once?

If C:\Users\-username-\Documents\My Web Sites has a globe, that's fine. And then under that, you have a globe on the folder, C:\Users\-username-\Documents\My Web Sites\example.com - then yes - example.com is a "frontpage" or "Expression Web" web. You could even say it is a "subweb" of My Web Sites.
