I can think of a couple of ways to do this,

1. Create a new user and password through your hosts administration panel. Most hosts let you control some of the options by a form that you log in to from thier home page. When you create the user account, tell the panel that thier home folder is the one that holds your frontpage "sister" web. Set the web permissions on the folder to no anonymous access and away you go. Please check with your hosting company first! This is only an example of how mine works!

2. Buy the Spooky Log-In. (recommended)

you still have that don't you spooky

Spooky is a sysop of this board. He has developed a generic "plug in" for the registration/validation procedure. It's good and it's cheap. Unfortunately I just read that it only runs on NT???

He's also the one to talk to about registration

if you can do this, that's the easiest. I can't because of ISP setup.

Boy, all this to change numbers into names
