hreichert -> Looking for a specific path/shape for Photoshop (10/16/2007 20:57:57)

I wish I had a term for this, but I don't! I'm looking for (free or for pay) the swirly decoration I'm seeing all over the place right now, like on the Food Network website/TV ads. I am sure I could create it in Photoshop, but it would take me awhile, since I'm not that talented, yet.

Anyone know what I'm talking about? Any idea on where I could get one to download?

Thanks!!
Heidi

Could you supply a URL so we could see an example?

That would be helpful!! Oops!!

I found this at Istockphoto...but it's actually a little more elaborate than I had intended.

You could do that in Photoshop. What you might do is Google for tutorials on using the path tools. I easily found pages of URLs.

From the looks of it, however, I'd say the image was more likely to have been created in something like Adobe Illustrator, a vector (line) drawing program. Photoshop is more appropriate when you're starting with pixel source images. Using Illustrator would have been much easier. That's what I would've used.

Thank you! I just don't think I'm talented enough to actually create them, is the problem.

I found EXACTLY what I want here:

But I'd like something I can purchase and is royalty-free. Is there a great source for purchasing brushes/vectors for Photoshop?

but all you have to do is give a credit somewhere for using those brushes? or don't you want to do that? and it's free!

I re-read the website and better understand that now. THANK YOU! I emailed the designer to show her what I intend to do with the designs to make sure I fall within the guidelines.

I appreciate your helpful reply...thank you very much!
