You have to question the point of it though, it's about what other people do, not what's right. I should imagine that a majority don't design to web standards, don't use a correct doctype, and use tables for structure. How is that information useful? A survey for the sake of it IMHO. It's like the survey my "trade union" (The Chartered Institute of Marketing) sends round every year about salaries, they then produce detailed info telling me for instance what a product manager should expect to earn in Essex. It is irrelevant to me in Hampshire because I know the local market and know what I would have to pay if recruiting, I'm not interested other than idle curiosity what someone in Dundee has to pay. We are living in a society where information is continually collected and collated for no good purpose.
