FrontPage has a very handy bot that allows you to insert a comment that is not displayed when viewed on a browser. You can only see it in design view and code view. I use this comment feature to notify me when a classified ad is to expire on one of my clients web sites.

Does Expression have this feature?

Not really but you can go into Expressions and create code snippet for this bot.

Tools>Page Editor Options>Code Snippets
You can add these:
<!--webbot bot="PurpleText" PREVIEW="Your Comments Here" -->

If you want to insert this bot into any page, you must do it in Code view. From the Edit go down to Intellisense and choose List Code Snippets, then select the bot from the list.

Once inserted, you can change the Comments by either method:
1) In Code view, substituting the "Your Comments Here" with the text you want to display
2) doubleclick it in the Design view and type the desired text in the dialog box that opens.

Mods, can you make this one sticky?

I decided to add this into the macros that WantToLearn has compiled for our benefits.It can be downloaded here. There are installation instructions in the zip file.

With this Comment macro, you do not need to do all the manual stuffs I mentioned in the earlier post. Just insert it into the page from the Insert menu.
