mar0364 -> style sheets require testing (style attribute). (10/23/2007 15:33:30)

What am I doing wrong here? Can't figure it out. Or am I throwing a dollar after a dime on this?

<input name=
"SearchString0" size="34" style=
"background-color: #9CBEDE" alt="Global Search" tabindex="1"/>

Thanks!
Rich

What's happening Rich? Is this a validator warning or error? Can't see anything particularly wrong although I tend to use all lowercase for names, ids and classes. I usually add a semi colon to close a style rule but I don't think that you actually have to do that.

Is it a suggestion from the Firefox or HTML Tidy validator thing? If so it might not be anything to worry about - they generally suggest testing stylesheets. Maybe it's just trying to dissuade you from using inline styles!

I would guess it's an inline style shout as well. I never use them unless absolutely unavoidable.

I thank you both. I've come to the conclusion that it is just the FF extension being difficult. As Tidy HTML likes my code.
