Server Error Help - 11/15/2007 15:21:24
Hey everybody,
I found this great forum while searching for help with a Front Page 2002 publishing problem. I've already tried a search, but found nothing. Here's my problem.
I maintain a small web site for a club I'm in and the last time I published to it was last year on 11/14/2006. Yesterday, using front page 2002 I added some material to the web, but when I tried to publish it several times I got a couple of these messages:
Server Error: cannot open file "index.html.tmp" for writing.
also
Server Error: cannot open file"xyz.jpg.tmp" for writing.
xyz=any jpeg image in my web.
What is going on here? One other thing that I noticed during the attempted publishing was that before I got the Server Error Message it asked if I wanted to replace "xyz file" with the one edited on 8/9/2007 at 2:30 am.
I'm pretty darn sure that I was not editing these files on that date and especially at that time.
Another thing I tried was, I created a new web folder and downloaded the web site into the new web folder, but still ran into the same problem.

Disregard this one. I solved the problem myself. I was unable to publish because I was very near to exceding the alloted space I am assinnged by the server. All I had to do was increase the amount of space available on the server. Thanks anyway.
