Problem reducing an image - 11/26/2007 11:37:45
I know this is very basic stuff, but I need the image at the following URL reduced to 80 x 79 px: http://www.handscombes.com/images/jasc_images/pound_logo.gif When I do it via Image => Resize... (in Paint Shop Pro 7.04) it is distorted (not pixelated). Can anyone help, please? Thanks, John.

hey - maybe we could have a competition :) i think mine has better contrast ... :) and i redrew the outer ring so it's antialiased against the minty green background.

Hey guys, no fighting! ;) I'm sure you can both do a great job... No, Donkey, the light green background used on our site is going ... much to the relief of many Web surfers. (Ask jaybee!). The new background will either be white (in which case I don't need a transparent image) or #C5C5D6, depending on where I decide to place the image. Sorry you took time to create the transparent green one - however, I did try it on one of our current pages, and it works great. (BTW, I discovered today that you can reduce the pixel size of an image in Paint Shop if you do it as a .bmp - then it doesn't distort, or was that just luck?). Dave, I think you're the winner of this life & death struggle - the transparent image you made here works perfectly on the green background and on #C5C5D6!. Thank you so very much. I've been fiddling around with this for hours, and I'm very grateful for your help. Thanks, John.
