Text Box problems - 11/27/2007 12:21:28
First, Thanks for the help with hyperlink graphics.

I'm also having problems with text boxes. I want to save them (say in a .jpeg) and then use them as a graphic on the site but they turn out very grainy (is that dither or anti-aliasing?). How do I get them to look as good as when I've first created them?

Don't use WordArt. Experiment with a fixed width/fixed height table with bordering (Style/Format/Border). Thereafter you can insert text/graphics as needed.

The problem with Word Art and text boxes is that they've been developed mainly for use on paper. MS included them in FP, Lord knows why. They don't render well on the web and in some browsers (anything other than IE) they won't render at all.

What you are effectively doing is creating a graphic containing text. The content is unreadable by screen readers, search engines etc.

Don't use them, Do as Larry suggests above.
