Mono Slide Show for Flash - 11/28/2007 11:30:38
Does anyone here use "Mono Slide Show"? http://www.monoslideshow.com/demo/ It looks like it would do what I want for my Banner and Sidebar, where there will be no text. The problem is... I've read elsewhere that search engines don't like Flash. My question is... will it still cause SEO problems if I use it only in areas where there is no text? Is there any reason why I can't use it with Microsoft Expression Web? Thanks for any advice! CJ

Search engines can't get a lot from Flash - but then if it's just a photo slideshow you're unlikely to have a lot of SEO value in it anyway I'd have thought? Having a Flash slideshow on your page won't effect the SEO of the rest of the page's content though so I wouldn't worry. It's not the case that because of a flash object on your page Google will ignore everything else - it just won't see what's within the Flash object.
