Netgear Router WAN Port Issues - 11/29/2007 17:04:23
Netgear WGR614v6 Wireless Router. I've had the router for a while now, and while I've found a solution, it is not the desired one. Computers connected to the network would not be able to find the modem if it was connected to the WAN port. I have had to put it into a LAN port just to get by. I don't want to have to use the LAN port forever, considering there is a designated port for the Internet and I'd like to use that port for something else. Can anyone suggest a solution to this? By the way, did anyone else have the same problem that I did where none of the documentation provided with the router will give you the IP address to edit the router settings? The one provided was false... Good on you Netgear...

Oh yes, I have that. I found it on a forum somewhere when I bought the thing. No thanks to Netgear...
