using tables - 12/6/2007 20:44:49

Hello, I am experimenting with my home page published now in order to appease the more opted browsers. If i draw out a table or choose FP to lay one out for me, I know to drag...I suppose to make it stretch, but not sure exactly what digits to relax at and begin creating. I notice it deems difficult adding cells, this is how my index page is built...basically with all cells only, and I use O borders as to keep the visual clean and a look lined up to where the object is positioned. I have seen what the validator sais, so I am trying to mess with that as well, I see no alt in my code, well I am just trying to figure this out and it doesnt seem to comply with the FP tutorial.

Don't draw anything with Frontpage. This makes you believe you are designing the site when you should be developing it.

Start with a basic layout - but never draw anything - if you see the words position, absolute in your code - stop especially since it was FP that did this.

Turn off the drawing toolbar so you're not tempted to use it.

Use Insert table

Hey Jaybee, thanks on this, that is what my whole entire FP is built on and around the tables itself. Even to the point that if I want something absolutely centered, and dont need borders or dividers, I actually hightlight 3 tables across and make sure the pixels line up then put my pic/object in the middle. I do this because I am so tire of everything moving around all the time and this seem to suit the ail. I have to redoe most of my pages though because I need to line up the pixels and tables and have been doing that, so I thought. Something else I thought, Cory informed me to the spaces that the % thing is causing, I did not catch this, at all, as soon as you save a page in FP that is created. I am going to see about those changes as well, so much work...so lil skill I have.

Thank you guys for stepping in and being patient, ya with all of us.
