using windows media player - 12/5/2001 11:26:54
Hi
Has anyone done this? I am going to be making a
small site for a home biz recording studio. I plan
on creating copies of his cds for demos so people
can click and listen to to these when they visit.
I wondered if I need any type of licensing for this
with Windows? I saw on their website something about
this but didn't know if it was for copyrighted cds or what.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this or have you
done this?

Here's what I know...Windows media player is free. it comes with every windows since adam. If your songs are converted to MP3 files then the player should pop right out on your screen when you click the link. The new version of Windows Media Player has some kind of anti-piracy protection built in, I forget what it's called. Im pretty sure that it just makes it so that songs using this protection can't be "saved" on your computer.

Boy, all this to change numbers into names
hey, need a break? http://webpages.charter.net/cwind/SSGallery/

Thanks for the input! I am picking up his CD
tomorrow so I will just try my luck with the
real thing. I'm sure I can figure it out!
