Can't login to my website - 12/12/2007 11:17:07
I have two website that I run and they are both on same server (not mine). I can login to one, but not the other. When I am prompted for my user name and pw I get rejected. I'm sure it's something simple, but can someone lend me a hand?

Thx,

RAL

Not really. The only thing I can suggest is make sure you have Caps Lock on or off as passwords are normally case sensitive.

If that's not the problem, see if there is a "I've forgotten my password" link you can click to get it emailed to you.

Failing that you'll have to email the host and ask them to help you.

Thanks for your reply. I haven't forgotten the password as I can login to the control panel to manage the files, but just not in Expression

So are both sites in the same account and one is in a subfolder, or two separate accounts?

The two sites are on the same server, but nothing else is the same. I'm sure it's a setting somewhere, but I've just got to figure out where.

What's the exact message?

Do you have Integrated Windows authentication on in IIS (if it's a Win platform)? Most MS products require the directory security to be configured with it ON.

Hope it helps.

There is no message. It simply doesn't allow me to login. As to the authentication, I can't answer that. I can say that using the same machine I'm able to login to my other site just fine. Sorry I'm not more helpful, but I'm at an impasse.

What have you got in the remote web site properties for each site?
