ORIGINAL: dbguide i used the coffecup color picker software (yes freeware) to get that green ... do you have any suggestions on a better color scheme generator? There's a HUUUUUUGE long list of them in the "Outfront Discoveries" section of the forum - some of them have a bit of a review about what they're like to use as well, and most of them are free. (I've got a bit of a "thing" about colour scheming tools and when I'm bored go of wandering the web to find more colour loveliness [:D]) On balance, I have to agree about the green - it's looking a little bland on my laptop. Generally it's best to try and check out the design on as many monitors as you can get your hands on (asking friends and family if you can have a quick look at it on theirs is a good way to get access to more). If you're going to be doing a lot of work where it's important that your colour scheme combinations look just right, it may be worth splashing out on one of the screen calibration thingies. As regards the design, personally I'd try and tie the colour scheme in with the graphics - there are a number of colour scheming tools on the list mentioned above that will generate a colour scheme based on an image. I'd also reduce the depth of that header area slightly - you've got a lot of "dead" area there that's taking up space and pushing the rest of the content down "below the fold", i.e. you have to scroll down to see it. Ideally you should have as much content as possible above the fold. With that in mind, personally I'd probably move the top ranked product to above the comparision chart, but that's just how I'd do it.
