Background in Firefox - 12/14/2007 11:16:09
Hi all, I've got a 2-column layout with a container div. I need a background image for the left column, but since the height will vary, I have placed the image as a background of the container div. Firefox doesn't like that. It won't display the image, but, of course, IE loves it. Can I have it both ways? Here is the page: http://www.cocoabeachrealty.com/newrentals/rentals.asp Here are some things I've already tried: Placing the background image in the left column div, but the column itself is not tall enough, as the height varies depending on the information displayed - so the image won't extend the full height. I have removed the height value for the left column, but this makes the background image appear even smaller. Any way to make the image display, extending to the full height of the container div, and make all browsers happy? Thanks, Carrie

The background image displays just fine in both browsers on my side.

Really? Maybe it is my old version of FF then (1.0.7) Has anyone tried to view it in that version? I will upgrade as well. Thanks, Carrie

Maybe the old page is still in your memory/cache. Try this: Hold down both, shift and ctrl key, than click refresh/reload.....

I upgraded, and it looks fine now too. Guess I should stay up to date. By the way, since we're kind of on the subject of browsers - can anyone recommend a good service that provides mac browser access/screenshots - some way to check compatability? Carrie
