Outbound link tracking - 12/14/2007 14:52:07
I have a webpage that needs to track all outbound traffic.

Can anybody give me some advice or recommend any software to do this with?

OK, you have completely lost me here. What do you mean by outbound traffic? Are you trying to track who clicks on links on your site that go to other sites? If so and you have a decent stats package on your host you should be able to tell from the reports.

You may want to try a redirect page eg:
<a href="myoutbound.php?url=where my link points to.com">Link name</a>

and then have the redirect page record the value of 'url' and then send them on there way, it wouldn't track people just leaving the site, but you could track links going through you site...

After much research I have setup Google Analytics to take care of this for me...

...btw it does exactly what I wanted and more!
