PS CS3 and Vista - 12/17/2007 3:16:59
Is it possible to run Photoshop cs3 or Vista Home (not home basic the other one)?

'cause I have been trying for a long time now and get either an error message or crashed windows no matter what I try.

I have followed more guides, tutorials, and walkthroughs than I can keep track of (including ones from adobe themselves), which has involved uninstalling and reinstalling the program 4-5 times, messing with the operating system, and messing with the fnp service and I am about ready to give up... :)

that's one I haven't heard yet (most of them seem to focus on the fnp thing)
you are refering to the aero windows style right?

Ok, now I feel a bit slow, but how would one go about disabling aero for photoshop?

I tried disabling visual themes, and it blue screened

I tried disabling desktop comp and it locked up

You can turn aero off completely, http://www.windvis.com/how-and-why-to-turn-aero-off

But, you may just want to run PS in XP mode, or something. You can do this by right clicking on the program, choosing properties, then the compatibility mode tab, then the check box "Run this program in compatibility for:" and select the dropdown for XP.
