I had so many problems with the drawing tools it that I deleted everything made with them. If you check my website, particularly the glossary page, you will see diagrams that should be easy to make with that tool. What I finally did was make them with MSWord, then copy them into a graphics program for re-sizing, then save them as jpg files. The problem was this: That tool generates a huge amount of html code to draw each pix. In that glossary page the code got so large that I could not edit the page in FP normal mode. Keystrokes would take a full minute to respond. And that page is not all that large, and the graphics are certainly not complex. It seems that your problem is in getting a nice graphic/word-art image into your FrontPage web page. Here's what I've done. Wherever you create your nice image, when it is finished copy it using the "Edit" menu. Go to an image program that you are comfortable with, such as MS Paint, ImageVw, Paintshop Pro, etc, and from the "Edit" menu, do a "Paste." Now save your file as a gif or jpg, depending on it's nature, and what you want to do next. If you want a transparent background, it should be a gif; if you have a photo, it should be a jpg. Just remember where you saved the image & and it's name. Now go to FrontPage, and Insert, a picture, from a file. When it is inserted, get it the right size for page, "Resample" it from the drawing toolbar, and save it again - with a new name to keep the original file intact for later use. Doing the "Resample" bit, will make the image to become the actual size you are using it, therefore making the download time much faster. Good Luck Georgia

I've been doing that, but in a slightly different way. I have an old copy of Image Composer (Rev1.0), but it works for this. I create the image in something else, then import it into IC to get it sized properly in pixels. From there, I simply select the object and copy (Ctrl-C) and paste it (Ctrl-V) directly into the cell I want in FP. When I close/save that page, FP then prompts me for where to put the new image and what to call it. These are jpg diagrams, so not sure how this would work for a gif. - john John Flower
