Entire Pages Lost - 12/27/2007 19:59:12
Hi!

Is there a way to go to somewhere like the "way back machine" I think it's called--and get a few of my pages back by importing?

One of the pages is just too complex for me to do over again. When I click the link to it, I get a blank page.

My site in question is The Art of Robert Tracy.

One of the pages in question is Art Review.

If I make the slightest change in a page I lose all that was there.

If there's a solution to this you know of it's most appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

P.S. I've found the entire page with its text and images locally
file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Robert%20Tracy/My%20Documents/My%20Webs/myweb/art_review.htm
but don't see a way to get it back into FrontPage or online.

Did File>Import and got it successfully posted but with this issue of two identical titles and the ">":

Art Review

The Art of Robert Tracy - An Appreciation.

by Robert Knapp">

Art Review

The Art of Robert Tracy - An Appreciation.

by Robert Knapp, Ph.D.

The second I take out the > after Knapp" I lose the page again.

I don't know what you mean by
quote:

<!--msnavigation-->
. Please explain.

And thanks for your reply.

Bob

Bob,

Depending on how recently you "lost" your Art Review page, your host should be able (for a fee) to recover/install this page from their backup archives to the server level. Assuming they are able to do this, it's a fairly simple process to get your local files in step with host files thereafter.

As I look at the format of your other pages such as "Drawings", "Landscapes, "Portraits", etc., which are developmentally simple, reconstruction, since, as you say you have text/graphics, of Air Review shouldn't be difficult.

You have a duplicate <body> tag enclosed within the <head> section in your code with identical information following it which is why your getting the double text at the top of your page.

Looks like this page was created with Microsoft Word, :). You may want to consider redoing.
