I recently added no follow tags to my "Store" links to avoid potential duplicate content penalities (links to a vendor that supplies "Stores" to many sellers like myself). Everything looks okay in IE but in Firefox each link is highlighted in a pink box. Is there a way to fix this without removing the no follow tags? Here is the site: http://www.sunembroideryscreenprinting.com . Thanks!

Viewed with FF and all looks fine to me. No Pink highlights around links

Looks fine on my side. The question is why???? I want to have my site crawled. What are you afraid of? If you do not have duplicated content from other sites there shouldn't be any problem at all.

Why "nofollow sucks"

It looks OK to me too using FF 2 - it must be something in your own Firefox settings.

Same here. All looks okay on FF for me. Could you perhaps show us a screenshot to show exactly what's happening?

No borders here on Firefox 2.0 - maybe you have an add-on that shows these and forgot about it?

The first link in the main navigation bar is highlighted in pink. All these links (no other links) are highlighted in pink when viewed in firefox. I downloaded some firefox webmaster tools a while ago but really didn't use them. Maybe that is causing what I see. This Store link links to my store, a subdomain on a vendor's site. The problem is hundreds of my competitors have basically the same Store (potential duplicate content issues) so I added the no follow tags for this link to keep my site separate from my store. Am I creating a problem? I certainly want my site to be crawled. I understand that eventually I need to build my own store but there are over 800 items with different sizes, colors - lots of work!

SEO for FireFox plugin perhaps?

I had the same problem. The others who could not see, probably did not have the plugin installed.

Solution: In firefox,
Tools / SEO for Firefox / Options.
Then uncheck the enable/disable highlighting box.
