Can't extend a virtual server- FP with IIS - 12/6/2001 1:41:03
I haven't added a new virtual server since January, so I don't know if one of the security patches killed this or not. I have the same problem on 3 different web servers running NT4.0 SP6 IIS 4.0 with FP2000 server extensions.
I can add a new virtual server with Internet Service Manager using the New-> Web Site command.
When I am done, I can't add the FP extensions.
When I right click on the new website name I don't get a All Tasks menu item.
The FP2002 server admin web page doesn't even see the web site.
Any ideas?
On one of the servers I installed FP2002 Server extensions. I hoped upgrading would fix it - it didn't.
Uninstalling the FP2000 server extensions and reinstalling from scratch didn't help either.

How are you handling TCP/IP? Remember, part of TCP/IP is the Domain Name System. Hate to say this but it sounds to me like it can't find the new name. (DNS)
