Hi..
I would like to setup a bunch of thumbnails photos on a page and on that page have the photos open up in the same window, how would i go about that...maybe an "I"frame? but im definetly not sure. can someone please offer some advice?

i dont want to use something like "JALbum" (which is great) because i need the page to function a certain way for different things...

Thanks....

You might want to check out "Lightbox Image Viewer"

Lightbox

Yep Lightbox would be the best way of doing this effectively.

Hi Helena!

The problem is that "box" or window must be available for a 360 degree virtual tour also...so it would server a few purposes...if you look at a virtual tour you will see that the 360 panorama shows up in the same window, always, thats the effect im looking for and i beleive lightbox is a dedicated "photo only" window....am i correct?

any other suggestions?

Ah but that's not what you asked for!! :)

Ok so you might want to look at Thickbox instead of Lightbox (it's similar just will work with any html not just images).

I'm not that personally keen on iframes (although they're better than old-style frames) - I think I'd generally either go for something like Thickbox or to be honest - a database-driven solution which will make it easier in the end for you to maintain and cuts out some user problems too.
