Need some help! - 1/1/2008 1:19:56
Hey everyone, well as usual Frontpage is doing its own thing again, the blue lines are appearing even after the <span style="text-decoration: none">...on my home page under the Marilyn Monroe, beleive me I have worked with this over and over. I opened a new page only to see each time I inserted something Frontpage kept adding and adding, I could not delete what it added, or no picture. I added a new pic on home page, it added all kinds of % signs. Well I closed with that, later I re-opened to see it kept my original addition, I do think its buggy. Here is what I am using to eliminate the blue lines on the home page http://www.jedidiahsarts.com under Marilyn Monroe URL, for both of them, <p align="center"><span style="text-decoration: none; <font color="#000000 size="6"><b><i><font size="6"> <a href="marilyn_monroe.htm"><font color="#000000"> <span style="text-decoration: none">MARILYN MONROE #1</font></span></font></a></font></i></b></td> Trust me, I have tried to eliminate the ( font ) writing over exposure, FP will not allow me to do that, in the code. It has a mind of its own, I'm using the basics and it is doing what it wants, any idea? although I am currently doing one. thank you, PS in the font choice I have removed the lines, it does not matter. Oh and...in Opera the marilyn monroe font is white?? go figure...when the rest of the fonts I am using is in black...I have done nothing different, this is bizarre. I noticed all of my hyperlinks have the blue under them, as said earlier I have unchecked the font choice for a line underneath the hyperlink, so I have not a clue why it does that. I see some places the line takes a color on its own, so this is all very un-nerving, but if anyone has a cure to my ghostly nature of FP I am anxious to hear, thank you. Sherri HAPPY NEW YEARZ!

Well, for future references to help others before FP is totally obsolete, if one comes back for the same issues I have had to deal with in FP my suggestion is for them to create their own buttons, I did this in the gallery of my page to test is as I did the home page, because of the returning irritating blue lines, I think this is happening because I am building the pages for blank. More than likely if I was using the CSS then the blue lines may very well not be there, the same with FP templates. However, it should not have given you that option for word art and or build from blank pages if it does not cooperate and is illusive per browser and site. Of coures its all experiemental I suppose. I did choose originally the personal website in templates but totally built from scratch. A year back or so, when I re-installed FP because of previous complications, the FP was up-dated automatically, not sure that was a good thing but had no power over it. So I move on. I will be back...he-he...just thought to add this for possible others since everyone helps me. Thank you Sherri

Sherri, Here's a script that will eliminate hyperlink underlines. It needs to be placed on each page you wish to so affect. Insert the following in the <Head> section using Code view <!-- start - kills all text decoration on page --> <style> <!-- A{text-decoration:none} --> </style> <!-- end - kills all text decoration on page -->

My FP has become very buggy here lately to administered changes that I try to apply. I will use this indeed as I begin this week on making this correction, thank you very much. Sherri
