Yellow hi-lited code in code view of Web Expression - 1/4/2008 12:16:37
Good afternoon: I am sure that there is a simple explanation for this but it escapes me. When I look at my pages in the code view with Web Expression some of the code is shown hi-lited in yellow. Why? What does this mean? What should I do about it? Thanks in advance. Cheers Jack The Magus

Please also note that if you are using a Dynamic Web Template (DWT) attached to your page, and entering your page content in a special "Content" section, all of the items generated by the DWT will be yellow. DWT stuff is designed to be constant from page to page, so it is yellowed out to prevent you from changing the code. If you have a lot of yellow otherwise, check to see if you have all of your tags closed. In code view, right click on the yellow area and click on matching tag. If it doesn't find one, you can be sure that is your problem. Well, 99% of the time that will be your problem. I still get it once in a while and can't figure out for the life of me what element isn't closed. Hope this helps.
