BNDAZ -> changing broken hyperlinks en mass? (1/8/2008 12:18:31)

I have a site wherein there are hundreds of broken hyper links across many different pages according to the "report". I am curious if there is a way to change all of them in one fell swoope. FP 2002 seems let me change a few at a time depending where they are located, but i want to change them all to the same thing.
Any ideas?
Thanks

If they're all different to start off with then you have to do them one at a time.

If they're all the same to start off with you can use find and replace across the entire site, or at least, you can in 2003 not sure you can in 2002.

unfortunately they are all different though at least there are multile occurances that are recognized.
Been going one at a time for a while.
1900 to go.

Are they broken? Have you tested them on your website before making the change(s)?

I would also note that all EXTERNAL links may show up as broken in those FP reports.

yes, make sure you know the difference between internal links and external, because depending on which side you are viewing it from you can sometimes get falsely broken links.

Also I have heard that if you are on a really slow dialup connection, the external links may take too long to verify and FP times them out, making them look broken when they really aren't.

if it happens often why dont you write the code in asp and write a included page with your links? it may take more time to do it the first time but youll never have this problem again!
